A lot of so-called “fertility diets” claim to boost a woman’s fertility by eating certain types of foods. These usually include “aphrodisiacs” such as oysters, garlic, and other types of herbs.
However, the reality is that fertility is directly related to a person’s health. This means that a person that’s healthy and physically fit is generally more fertile compared to someone who is more unhealthy.

This helps prevent iron-deficiency anemia and is also necessary for the growth of the baby. So while eating iron-rich foods isn’t necessarily a fertility booster, you’d want to boost your stocks of iron in preparation for your pregnancy.

Not all types of fat are unhealthy. In particular, omega-3 fatty acids are a type of good fat that the body needs. Omega-3 fatty acids have been found to have a positive effect on a woman’s fertility, and they can also help improve brain and nerve function.
