Chemical Peels
Worried about dark spots and uneven skin tone? Then, a chemical peel might just be the anti-aging treatment for you.
Chemical peeling involves the application of products that stimulate skin turnover. That means the removal of damaged skin on top and the emergence of the newer skin beneath.
Common ingredients of chemical peels are alpha and beta hydroxy acid (AHA and BHA), lactic acid, and glycolic acids. Note that peeling ingredients come in different concentrations, and strong concentrations may be harsh on the skin.

You may not associate IPL with anti-aging treatment since it’s a popular hair removal procedure. However, the IPLs offered in spas and dermatology clinics actually improve skin pigmentation and wrinkles.
IPL uses targeted energy to get rid of damaged or pigmented skin, such as wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks, and sun-damaged skin. However, there are other newer, more advanced types of laser treatments widely available that are more effective than IPL when it comes to anti-aging.
Important: You may come across “over-the-counter” IPL hair removal or anti-wrinkle devices online. Please proceed with caution since incorrect use may damage your eyes. This is why doctors place a pad over the client’s eyes during IPL sessions.
