Foods that heal acne scars
Turmeric
Turmeric is a spice available in every household. It is currently being added to every other skin care product. The spice is loaded with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Including turmeric in your diet is simple. You can add the turmeric powder in your curries, vegetables, and soups, or you can just add turmeric powder in a glass of warm water and drink it.
Turmeric also does wonders when applied on the skin. Applying turmeric on the face helps to prevent acne and lighten the acne scars. The anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric help to prevent acne breakout.
Making a turmeric face pack is simple, all you need to do is take turmeric, honey, and milk in a bowl. Mix it well and make it into a fine paste. Apply the paste on your face and let it rest on your skin for 15 to 20 minutes. Wash your face with water and pat dry your skin.
Make a note that turmeric when applied on your skin can turn it yellow. You do not need to worry about the stains as they are temporary. But if you experience your skin turning itchy or red, it might be an allergic reaction. In such cases, talk to your doctor. You can also do a patch test at the back of your ear before applying the pack on your face.
Papaya
Papaya is a fruit rich in nutrients and loaded with antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. It is rich in vitamins and minerals, too. The fruit when consumed helps to get rid of wrinkles and improve skin elasticity. You can consume papaya directly or add it to a fruit salad, juice, or smoothie.
The fruit contains papain, a digestive enzyme, which ,when applied on your skin, helps to hydrate your skin, fade acne scars, and remove dead skin cells. Papaya is rich in vitamin A as well, which is said to be beneficial in the treatment of acne. Raw papaya masks help to get rid of acne scars by lowering the amount of melanin.
