Newly Married and Glowing: Son Ye-Jin and Hyun Bin's Skincare Secrets, Revealed

Power couple Son Ye-Jin and Hyun Bin made many fans swoon when they announced through separate posts that they will be tying the knot. And now, they are officially married! This isn’t the first time they made waves, though. As they gave life to the characters of Captain Ri and Yoon Seri, fans couldn’t help but notice their enviable physique, and of course, clear skin. Let’s look into the Korean skin care routine of these soon-to-be married love birds!

Glowing at 40: Son Ye-Jin’s Practical Korean Skin Care Routine

With her flawless complexion, people find it hard to believe that Son Ye-Jin is already 40 years old! What’s even more surprising is that her beauty secrets are so practical; everyone can do it.

The actress, who apparently has oily skin, is not fond of the famous 10-step Korean skin care routine. “Too many steps is too much,” she said in an interview.

Preferring a simple routine over a multi-step Korean skin care routine, her skincare mostly consists of:

Meticulous facial cleansing. Ye-Jin makes it a point to wash her face with a cleanser before going to bed — no matter how late her schedule ends. Sleeping with her makeup on is a big no-no.

The American Academy of Dermatology recommends using a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser that does not contain alcohol. They also advise people to use lukewarm water.

Masks. For Ye-Jin, face mask sheets are “a quick fix and a boost in skin hydration.” She uses one before an important event.

Cucumbers. Did you know that her Korean skin care routine also includes a DIY eye mask? She uses sliced cucumber for her eyes!

Sunscreen. The actress does not step out without applying sunscreen, which she typically mixes with her BB cream or foundation base.

Experts say using sunscreen daily is one of the best — and easiest — ways to protect your skin.

Finally, Ye Jin, says it’s important to have a healthy diet. She drinks lots of water and eats fruits daily.

Hyun Bin’s Happiness (And His Face Mask Sheet)

At the height of Crash Landing On You’s fame, Hyun Bin was asked what happiness is. He answered:

“I feel like being able to perform my tasks well while being healthy and fit is what happiness is.”

Of course, his happiness now involves Ye Jin, who, like him, uses face mask sheets. Hyun Bin’s mask (Mediheal Aquaring Ampoule Mask) contains witch hazel and sodium hyaluronate, which don’t just cleanse the skin, but also trap moistures.

As for fitness, the 39-year old actor performs aerobic exercises twice a day, 5 to 6 times a week!

And Now It’s Official: Son Ye-Jin and Hyun Bin Are Married

A few days short of Valentine’s, the couple shared an important announcement: they are getting married.

Son Ye Jin posted a mini-bridal gown and pens: “I thought long and hard about how to share this story because it’s an important one. I found someone to spend the rest of my life with. Yes… it’s him.”

Meanwhile, Hyun Bin posted a photo of them holding hands, with the caption: “I made an important decision to get married, and I’m going to carefully step into the second phase of my life.”
