Ika Villanueva Caperonce, MD

Dr. Erika Caperonce is an Internist and Infectious Disease Specialist by calling and artist by heart. Born and raised in Bacolod city, she contributed to her school’s publications and wrote poems and musicals growing up.

She took up medicine at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) and underwent her sub-specialty training in Internal Medicine at the Makati Medical Center. Her experience with caring for patients from all walks of and her desire to provide access to specialized healthcare to her province led her to pursue further training in Infectious Diseases.

She completed her Infectious Disease training while serving in the frontline of Makati Medical Center during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Now a mom of two boys, her love for writing and passion for caring for others has not waned.
