Treating Low Blood Sugar: 4 Methods You Need To Know

Low blood sugar, also known as hypoglycemia, is a condition that occurs when the body has too much insulin or does not have enough sugar in the bloodstream. Low blood sugar is common in diabetics but it can happen to anyone. By monitoring your blood sugar regularly, you can catch hypoglycemia early and ensure your blood sugar levels are maintained at  a normal range.   • 1 Tablespoon sugar in water
  • 6 large jelly beans
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 12 pcs of gummy bears
  • 1 Tablespoon of Jam

Oral Medication

  • Glucose Pills
  • Glucose Gel

Your doctor may determine treatment based on the gestational age of your baby and overall health. It might involve giving the baby a fast-acting glucose solution such as a water mixture or formula.
