Thyme
Thyme has gained local attention for its use as a flavoring for savory dishes, but studies have shown that a compound found in thyme called rosmarinic acid can lower blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels. This benefit has been established in animals, but not yet in humans.
Brahmi
Perhaps better known in the country by its scientific name, Bacopa monnieri, brahmi has shown potential as a herbal medicine para sa altapresyon. It does so by releasing nitric oxide, which is a potent dilator of vessels.
