How should I take Eligard?
Eligard is available as a solution for subcutaneous (SQ) injection. It should be administered by a licensed health professional.
How do I store Eligard?
This product should be stored in a refrigerator (2-8°C). Once removed from the refrigerator, the product can be stored at room temperature (15-30°C) for up to 8 weeks, prior to administration. Do not freeze this product.
Do not use if the printed expiration date has passed, the product seal has been broken, or the product has changed in color, odor, or consistency. Always check the label before using this product. For safety, keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not dispose of this product by pouring it down the drain, toilet, or into the environment. Ask your pharmacist regarding the proper way and location of disposal.
Precautions & Warnings
Eligard may cause a “tumor flare.” This means that there is a transient increase in testosterone levels during the start of treatment. The surge of testosterone is temporary, however, may worsen symptoms.
