Centrum® is a brand of multivitamin dietary supplements. Different formulations contain different types and amounts of vitamins, minerals, and other micronutrients.
Centrum® is available as an oral tablet. Many multivitamins contain several types of fat-soluble and water-soluble vitamins as well as minerals. The oral tablets should be taken by mouth without chewing or crushing it. It is best to take it before or with a meal.
This drug should be stored at room temperature (20-25°C) and be protected from light and moisture. For safety, keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Always check the label before using this product. Do not use if the printed expiration date has passed, the product seal has been broken, or the product has changed in color, odor, or consistency.
Do not dispose of this product by pouring it down the drain, toilet, or into the environment. Ask your pharmacist regarding the proper way and location of disposal.
Multivitamins, including Centrum®, are generally safe to take at any time. However, most people obtain enough vitamins and minerals by eating balanced meals.
Only take vitamin and food supplements if you have a deficiency and your doctor recommends that you take multivitamins.

This supplement may be recommended for pre- and postnatal supplementation. This drug should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus, as determined by your doctor.
Vitamins and minerals may be excreted in breast milk but it is generally safe and may improve milk production and quality. Supplementation should only be done with approval from your doctor.
All drugs have the potential to elicit side effects even with normal use. Many side effects are dose-related and will resolve when it is adjusted or at the end of therapy.

This drug may interact with other medications. To avoid any potential drug interactions, you should keep a list of all the drugs you are using (including prescription drugs, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products) and inform your doctor and pharmacist.
Calcium and other minerals may affect the absorption and action of drugs such as tetracyclines, quinolones, calcium channel blockers, bisphosphonates, and thyroid medications. It is best to take Centrum® 1 to 2 hours before or 2 to 3 hours after taking these medications.
Vitamin E may potentiate the blood thinning effects of aspirin and warfarin. It can also reduce the effectiveness of certain cancer drugs and increase side effects of immunosuppressants.
Vitamin C is generally safe to take even in high doses, however, it may reduce the effectiveness of warfarin, cancer drugs, antivirals, and other drugs that require a less acidic environment to be absorbed.
If you experience an adverse drug interaction, stop taking this drug and continue taking your other medication. Inform your doctor immediately to reevaluate your treatment plan. Your dose may need to be adjusted, substituted with another drug, or discontinue using the drug.
The absorption rate is slightly decreased with food, however, taking it with a meal prevents gastrointestinal distress. Alcohol may lower the amount of certain vitamins that are absorbed into the circulation. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking Centrum®.

In case of an emergency or an overdose, call your local emergency services or go to your nearest emergency room. Management is symptomatic treatment.
If you miss a dose of this drug, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your regular dose as scheduled. Do not take a double dose.
