Uses

Umcka® is used for reducing the duration and severity of symptoms associated with the common cold, upper respiratory tract infections, and flu symptoms (e.g., chills/fever, nasal congestion, cough, headache, hoarseness, minor aches/pains, sore throat, stuffy nose, sneezing/runny nose). It also helps loosen phlegm (mucus) to make it easier to expel when you cough.Umcka® contains Pelargonium sidoides, which is an herb from South Africa that was traditionally used for treating cold symptoms, bronchitis, and dysentery.

How should I take Umcka®?

Umcka® is a brand that comes in several variants that include oral syrups, chewable tablets, powder sachets, and drink powder. All preparations are best taken at the first sign of symptoms and continued for 48 hours after symptoms have subsided.

For the oral syrups, only use the included medical-grade measuring cup. Do not use a normal household spoon, as this may not measure the accurate dose.

The chewable tablets should be placed in your mouth and chewed and dissolved thoroughly before swallowing. Do not dissolve it in a glass of water or swallow it whole.

The FastActives® powder comes in a convenient sachet. Open the sachet and pour the contents directly into your mouth and swallow. Do not dissolve the solution in water, juice, or other liquids.

The drink powder should be dissolved in 4 to 6 oz. of hot or cold water, depending on your preference.

How do I store Umcka®?

Umcka® is best stored at room temperature away from direct light and moisture. To prevent drug damage, you should not store Umcka® in the bathroom or the freezer. There may be different variants of Umcka® that may have different storage needs. It is important to always check the product package for instructions on storage, or ask your pharmacist. For safety, you should keep all medicines away from children and pets.

You should not flush Umcka® down the toilet or pour them into a drain unless instructed to do so. It is important to properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist for more details about how to safely discard your product.
