Esberitox N is a natural, herbal cough and cold preparation that is made in Germany. It contains a complex of Thuja (Arbor vitae), Baptisia (wild flower) and Echinacea and claims to have virus-fighting and immune-boosting properties.

What is Esberitox N used for?

Esberitox N is used as therapy for acute and chronic respiratory tract infections, as an adjuvant to antibiotic treatment, and a temporarily weakened immune system with recurring infections.

How should I take Esberitox N?

Esberitox N may be taken with or without food. The tablets should be swallowed whole or left in the mouth to be dissolved. Do not chew, crush, or dissolve the tablet in liquid.

How do I store Esberitox N?

This product is best stored at room temperature away from direct light and moisture. To prevent drug damage, you should not store it in the bathroom or the freezer. 

There may be different brands of this drug that may have different storage needs. So, it is important to always check the product package for instructions on storage, or ask your pharmacist. For safety, you should keep all medicines away from children and pets.

What is the dose for an adult?

Adults and children >12 years: take 3 tablets 3 times a day.

What is the dose for a child?

Children 7 to 12 years: give 2 tablets 3 times a day.

Children 2 to 6 years: give 1 tablet 3 times a day.

How is Esberitox N available?

Esberitox N is available in the following dosage forms and strengths:

  • Each tablet contains: Herba Thujae occidentalis (White Cedar leaf) 2 mg, Rad. Echinaceae (Coneflower) 7.5 mg, Rad. Baptisiae tinctoriae (Wild indigo root) 10 mg

What should I do in case of an emergency or overdose?

In case of an emergency or an overdose, call your local emergency services or go to the nearest emergency room.

What should I do if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your regular dose as scheduled. Do not take a double dose.
